About

Lisa Pisani	Throughout my life and career, I had the opportunity to help individuals traverse life's obstacles and lead their best lives. To better understand social systems' impact on diverse individuals, I returned to school to pursue my interest in psychology. Personal journeys have strengthened my passion for counseling and elevating clients to post-growth. Research and innovation are essential in my counseling practice, so I present psychoeducation across borders. My foundation is multicultural, firmly believing we have much to learn from one another's cultures. I advocate for people of color and LGBTQIA+ individuals. As a world traveler, I recognize that travel offers a unique understanding of other cultures, belief systems, faiths, traditions, histories, and socialization, supporting my practice's foundation.

As a lifelong learner, I annually participate in psychological, scientific, and spiritual workshops. I enjoy skiing and ZUU workouts.  Other interests include traveling, cooking, science, and music.

About my practice

A medical diagnosis or loss of a loved one can be overwhelming. I specialize in clients and their families navigating cancer or other medical illnesses, end-of-life, or grief, and clients who experienced trauma from marginalization, including racism and societal oppression. I work with clients on the many emotions couched in these situations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and panic symptoms. I incorporate spirituality when appropriate, respecting each client's beliefs and values. I aim to help clients traverse challenges, discover healthy solutions, develop resilience, build coping skills, and experience inner peace. I collaborate with individuals, couples, and families to help them reach their full potential.

In my practice, I employ integrative therapy, a comprehensive approach that addresses the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. This approach allows me to provide a holistic understanding of my client's experiences and tailor my counseling to their unique needs. Traversing life effects alone can be challenging. I welcome the opportunity to support you through difficult times on your journey towards post-growth and fulfillment. As a member of the International Association of Counseling, I deeply honor and respect every client's cultural identity and uniqueness.

Engaging in therapy is courageous. Thank you for reaching out to me for your counseling needs. In my practice, I provide a healing and empathic environment to cultivate trust and collaborate on healing practices, new perspectives, acceptance, and the development of helpful coping strategies to navigate life's complexities.
